Create Enterprise Manager User in OEM Grid Control 11G

Using Oracle Enterprise Manager, you can 3 types of authentication schemes:

  • Repository-Based Authentication: Default authentication option.
  • SSO-Based Authentication:The single sign-on authentication.
  • Enterprise User Security Based Authentication: Users for Oracle database in LDAP server.

Therefore, OEM has 3 types of acess:

  • Super Administrator: Can do anything.
  • Administrator: Can do what you define.
  • Repository Owner: Database administrator for the Management Repository.

To create use in OEM it is very easy, you have to do the follow steps:

  • Go to OEM Grid Control Page
  • Click “Setup” ->
  • Click “Administrators” ->
  • Click “Create” ->
  • Name (write the name for your user) = “TECHDATA” ->
  • Password / Confirm Password = “xxxxxxxxxx” ->
  • Password Profile = “DEFAULT”->
  • E-mail Address = “ope2kg@gmail.com” (optional) ->
  • Select “Super Administrator” ->
  • Click “Next” ->
  • Click “Finish”
